Wedding after wedding, we see moments in the timeline pushed back, moved up and rearranged based on our needs. Vendors are some of the most adaptable people that I know and I am dang proud to work with so many people that are intelligent enough to flip an event in a different direction on a whim! I think someone’s ability to go with the flow and think on their toes is what makes vendors in our industry so successful. I also think the part of the day that sets us up for the most success is being on time during load in + set up time.
This is a point in the day that we are really relying on each other as a team to get this set up complete. Having your piece of the puzzle arrive during your expected delivery window and set up on time makes a HUGE impact on how the rest of the day goes. If we are waiting on tables to be set, the linens can’t go down. If we are waiting on linens, the center pieces and dishware can’t be set. If the center pieces and dish ware can’t be set, the photographer can’t get reception space details. If the photographer can’t get reception space details before the ceremony, we can’t allow guests to bring in their items and set them down after the ceremony until those shots are taken. If the guests can’t come in and set some items down, we will be late getting them seated. If they are late to be seated, dinner will be behind and the snowball continues all evening long!

So please, for the sake of the team, when we talk about arrival times and set up times make sure that your piece of the puzzle is good to go! We don’t just make those times up for fun. It is to set everyone up for success on the wedding day and ensure that our happy couple gets the day they were dreaming of! We know things happen and we will always step in to help because we truly do believe we are on a team working towards the same goal.
