Educator Turned Passionate texas Wedding Planner

The Person Behind The Clipboard

We understand that there comes a point where it’s Time to Call in the Professionals!

Have you ever googled how many wedding venues there are in the state of Texas, or what your wedding budget should look like for 150 guests? Did you know there are things to factor into the budget (that really add up), that people forget about.

Found the cutest dress on a major sale?

That's great! But don’t forget alterations can cost up to hundreds of dollars!

Got a great deal on the band?

Don’t forget you still have to pay for a stage and ceremony musicians.

Venue says you have the place until midnight?

Don’t forget your vendors have to have an hour of clean up time in there!

Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone that has the experience to know about all of these little things to budget for, and the knowledge for how your day is supposed to run?

In Comes KPT Event planning To The Rescue!!

Leaving A Lasting Impact

Hi, I’m Kristin

I am a Texas based Wedding Planner with more than 5 years of experience building timelines, buttoning and bustling wedding dresses, pinning on boutonnieres, alphabetizing place cards and bringing my couples’ drinks on the dance floor! With serving over 150 couples, we have pretty much seen it all and I take pride in my ability to think on my toes and make your wedding day plans happen the way YOU want them to happen!

Favorite Things

Fountain Dr. Pepper is the only way to drink soda

Friends is better than the office or any other current day sitcom.

Private last dances, because it is the only “alone” moment many couples get during the wedding day. The party is over and your marriage has truly begun. I cry almost every time watching it (through a window or door of course) because you can literally feel your love for each other in the room!

Kristin Was A Life Saver For My Wedding

“Kristin was a life saver for my wedding. I was a bride planning my wedding from another state and Kristin went above and beyond for us! She perfectly put together my vision and made sure on the day of that every detail was in place. Even when my dress broke, she was able to sew it back together immediately. I would highly recommend having Kristin by your side on your wedding or event”
Nicole M.
Mansfield, Texas

Her kindness, attention to detail, and calm demeanor truly made our wedding planning experience perfect.

"Kristin was AMAZING!!! We cannot say enough good things about her. We were a covid couple planning our 3rd wedding. She made every step of the process so easy. If I sent her a picture of anything I was thinking of she would find the exact vendor that carried it so that I could have everything about my day exactly as I pictured it. She made time for extra zoom calls and meetings any time we were uncertain of anything. On the day everything ran so seamlessly or at least appeared that way to us. All of the thanks go to her for that. She even had her sweet husband driving all over the place looking for last-minute bubbles for our exit. I will never be able to thank her enough. You want this woman on your wedding team!"

Dallas, Texas

She was there every step of the way and made decision making a breeze.

Kristin is a dream wedding planner! She was absolutely wonderful through the whole process. She was there every step of the way and made decision making a breeze. What makes her so special is the fact that she gets to know the couple on a personal level and truly wants the wedding day to be about them.

Tyler, Texas

We would recommend Kristin a thousand times over!

"I cannot say enough positive things about Kristin! She was simply the best coordinator I could have asked for. Kristin was very responsive whenever I had questions throughout the planning process. Everything about our wedding day ran so smoothly thanks to her. She brought our vision to life and helped make our ceremony and reception look and feel even better than I imagined. We had an issue with the getaway car and she took care of it without my husband or I even knowing there was an issue until after the fact."

Kristin Exceeded all my expectations

"Kristin was amazing! I did the month of coordination package and it exceeded my expectations. Kristin was so helpful during my wedding day that it felt stress free and the timeline moved perfectly. I was able to contact her and have any questioned answered to help with my pre wedding nerves. She was so helpful and sweet in every way"

Anne

LEAD PLANNER & DESIGNER

I’m Anne, though I came to Texas as fast as I could, I’m originally from the orange groves of Florida. I developed a passion for event planning over a decade ago while pursuing my studies in hospitality at UCF (Go Knights!). My expertise in the field grew as I gained valuable experience working in the special event department at Walt Disney World and studying through the Court of Master Sommeliers. What truly captivates me about wedding planning is the harmonious blend of enchantment and reality. As a meticulous individual with a strong inclination towards organization, my greatest asset lies in transforming your wedding vision into a tangible reality. On your special day, you can count on me to be diligently working behind the scenes, ensuring every detail is perfect – from straightening floral arrangements to pinning boutonnieres, and even making sure your dad has an extra tissue for those heartfelt moments during your first dance. In my free time, I love to dream of colder weather and snow topped mountains and nibble on as many fine cheeses, iced coffees and interesting wines as I can find.

Tips & Tricks for Building Your Wedding Budget

Build Your Budget Before You Start Planning Building your budget is the first and most important step you can take in wedding planning. It helps you to set realistic guest count expectations and design goals. If you have an extremely tight budget, there may be some pieces of your vision you have to give up, create a DIY option, or possibly find a vendor that meets your overall budget needs but doesn’t come with all of the bells and whistles. Discuss Budget Expectations Typical Budget Contributors Gone are the days of tradition when it comes to wedding planning. With lots ...

All Wedding Events Happen In Time, Not on Time: Except Ceremony and Venue Setup

Wedding after wedding, we see moments in the timeline pushed back, moved up and rearranged based on our needs. Vendors are some of the most adaptable people that I know and I am dang proud to work with so many people that are intelligent enough to flip an event in a different direction on a whim! I think someone’s ability to go with the flow and think on their toes is what makes vendors in our industry so successful. I also think the part of the day that sets us up for the most success is being on time during ...

The Journey That Brought Us here

2013

Teacher & Bride

In 2013 I started my teaching career and began planning my own wedding, because my (then) fiance proposed on graduation day! I had no clue wedding planning was in my future, because I thought I would be a teacher forever. I created spreadsheets for my own wedding that I still use in my business today!

2018

KPT & Our first Baby Ava Were Born

We finally decided it was time to start a family and quickly realized teacher life was not as flexible as everyone said. One day after many sleepless nights with Baby Ava and a LONG day on campus, my office manager asked me “Are you going to raise your own babies or spend all of your time here raising everyone else's?” The same week Wendy asked me if I wanted to start taking on more design and planning clients and spend more time at home with Ava. It was the easiest yes of my life! The same year Ava was born, I also started KPT Event Planning!

2016

Wedding Coordinator Side Gig

In 2016 I began coordinating weddings with a fellow teacher (shoutout to Weddings by Wendy) on my campus. She had put herself through college wedding coordinating for David’s Bridal and continued coordinating as a side gig for vacation money. She roped a lot of us in over the years, and I am so thankful to get to work with so many of these ladies still today, outside of the classroom!

2022

Planner, Mom, + Teacher Again

The kids I taught over the years have remained in my life as bussers, assistant coordinators and more. I realized over the past few years that while I didn’t have much flexibility to be a mom as a teacher in the classroom, I was really good at what I did and I truly live for making connections on a social and cognitive level. We added another baby to the bunch and now that she is a little bigger, 2022 is the year I decided to start teaching again! Teaching vendors how to close the gap and sharing my cheat sheets with brides!

How Teaching Has Impacted Our Philosophy

My time in the classroom impacted my life more than I could ever imagine. I left the classroom for a little more flexibility in my schedule while starting a family and for a little bit more adult interaction. I was passionate about many aspects of my teaching career and I have carried this passion over into the Wedding Industry. I now use my skills, patience, and philosophy that I had as a teacher to help tell love stories and help teach other Vendors how to close the gaps between Couples & Vendors to make for a better experience all around!

I love to see the light bulb moment with my clients

When they understand a little more about the process in each phase of wedding planning

I am a Firm believer in “No dumb questions.”

My door is always open if you need clarification, have a question, or just to vent.

My binder of lesson plans is now filled with resources

We have accumulated tons of resources, skills of organization & are passing it on to you!

From The impact Inside Of The Classroom

When I was a teacher, the passion for impacting young lives was so life giving. Being able to support, encourage, and educate in school was everything to me.

To The impact outside of the classroom

That’s why, for every couple that books with us, we set aside a percentage of our profit to buy items from teachers wishlists at the beginning of the school year!!

Did You Know: If you hire in event staff or additional assistants through us, it is always a student I previously taught! During my time in the classroom (& the gym as a coach) I met some kids who greatly impacted my life and I know that they will help impact yours! They have servants hearts and truly enjoy helping you have your best day yet!

ENOUGH ABOUT US, LET’S TALK ABOUT YOU
