Katie & David

The Chens

Katie & David started their planning journey with us 15 months before their desired wedding date. During every conversation we had about what they envisioned for their day, they talked about the time they wanted to spend with the people they cared about most. So, we planned a weekend filled with their loved ones and of course designed a day that was everything Katie dreamed about. We did a rehearsal and welcome drinks at a small restaurant, married them in Katie’s moms church and threw the best party ever at one of our favorite venues!/

The Real Wedding Breakdown For Katie & David

Rehearsal Dinner

Katie & David started their weekend with a family style dinner at terilli’s on Greenville. We worked with the terilli’s team to create one long table where food was passed down the line & filled it with conversations. They shared speeches & soaked up time with their family & bridal party.

Welcome Drinks

After dinner was done, we flipped the room in terilli’s & opened up the roof top to welcome around 80 of their closest friends.

Getting Ready

Katie elected to get ready in the comfort of her own home. This allowed her to soak up the time with her favorite ladies while we handled the logistics & setup at both venues.

Ceremony

Katie & David got married in her moms church with a beautiful ceremony. It is one of our favorite views getting to see our brides walk down the aisle to their person!

Cocktail Hour

After their ceremony, there was a small gap before cocktail hour began. They chose to take advantage of this time & we set up transportation to move them throughout downtown to take photos with their family & bridal party. Once guests did begin to arrive for cocktail hour, we had some of their favorite apps & drinks ready to serve & a little bit set aside for the couple to enjoy privately

Private Dinner & Vows

Because Katie & David didn’t do a first look, they chose to take the quiet moment together during cocktail hour to eat dinner privately & read private vows to each other. We had never done personal vows after the ceremony before but it was one of our very favorite moments of the day. They got to slow down the day & soak up the tiniest bit of time alone together & I will never forget that part of their day.

Reception

We didn’t skip any fun when it came to the reception. We cut cake, had a few parent speeches, dedicated Katie’s bouquet to her mom & got the party started with an outfit change.

Outfit Change & Classy Rager

After Katie’s outfit change, we had a full set by the band! So we got to bring out the light up hats, foam sticks & sunglasses. Katie & David spent a chunk of the night singing along with the band on stage & dancing with their friends before ending the night with the sweetest private dance & sparkler exit.
