Evan & Elaine

The Burrises

E + E’s weekend gave us James Bond vibes with a hint of feminine touches. We started the weekend with a low key rehearsal dinner at Terilli’s, and ended the weekend with a dance party at Hickory Street Annex. We had out fit changes, hairstyle switches and martinis galore. Elaine + Evan were a power DIY couple, and I can’t wait to show you guys all of the things they created themselves!

The Real Wedding Breakdown For Evan & Elaine

Rehearsal Dinner

Elaine and Evan opted for a laid back rehearsal night. They had our team come in to do some decor setup with our rentals. Just some simple bud vases and candles, because Terilli’s is already a beautiful and fun atmosphere on its own. We talked through family and bridal party expectations for the next day, but they decided to do a wedding morning rehearsal walk through. We listened to stories about their childhood and opened the toast floor for anyone who wanted to congratulate them. It was so special to hear everyone talk about how truly perfect they are for each other.

Wedding Morning- Getting Ready

Elaine got to hang out all morning with her best girls, sipping mimosas and enjoying their time together while we oversaw the vendor deliveries and facilitated set up. She took it to heart when we told her to sit back and enjoy and she truly soaked in her day.

First Look

I can’t even begin to explain how much love for each other you could feel coming from these two. From our initial design meetings, to final walk throughs, to rehearsal dinner night, this first look and as their night went on they could not keep their hands and eyes off of each other. Something E + E did that I loved, was after this moment they were pretty much inseparable. They visited tables together, ate dinner together, and stuck together on the dance floor. They actually spent their night together, soaking in every minute of their wedding day and the pictures and memories because of it are phenomenal.

The Details

Elaine & Evan were the DIY power couple. With Evan’s engineering background and Elaine’s crafting skills, they were able to 3D print their own wax seals, print and assemble all of their paper goods, create their own personalized napkins and cut out the vinyl and iron on the letters for all of their large signage. I could not believe they had created all of these items while we were setting up. All of these pieces truly pulled their wedding design together and elevated the experience.

Ceremony

As we rode the elevator up to get ready to go down the aisle for the ceremony, the Texas Tech football game went into overtime. There were a lot of Red Raiders in this group, and I was a little worried I wasn’t going to be able to get the groomsmen down the aisle. Luckily they all went without a fight, once I told them I would keep track of the game and give them a thumbs up or thumbs down when the ceremony was over.. E + E opted to have Elaine’s grandfather officiate their wedding and it was so sweet! He did an amazing job and just as he announced them husband and wife Texas Tech pulled out the win. Their β€œjust married” celebration was epic!

Hair + Outfit Change

Can you even deal with how cute Elaine’s hair and outfit change is? Anna Sullivan came in during dinner and helped us make the switch from blushing bride to the wife of the party! I still can’t decide which outfit Elaine looked more stunning in!

Dance Party

Hickory Street Annex needs a little bit of a room flip after the ceremony. Luckily all of the vendors we work with there are the best team players and it happens quickly. During the flip, we repurposed the flowers to the edges of the stage and it was the perfect dance floor backdrop all night long! Grooveline did a wonderful job keeping this dance floor packed and partying all night long!

Send Off

We ended the night with a private last dance & a good eco-fetti send off. Eco-fetti is probably one of my favorite exit items. It is so classic and timeless and the pictures turn out SO good!
