Ben + Mel gave traditional vibes with a hint of “My wedding, My Day” which is my favorite! They started their morning at Hotel Indigo. Mel had a suite full of her favorite girls together to get pampered and ready. Our team took all of their belongings into The Room on Main and let them enjoy their morning. Once everyone was dressed, they did a first look and took the sweetest stroll through the city! They grabbed coffee, danced in the streets and made out in the elevator. It was so dreamy!

The Real Wedding Breakdown For Ben & Melissa

Getting Ready

We only had the venue for 8 hours, so we made the plan for the girls to get ready off site. Hotel Indigo had the perfect size suites for this bridal party and all hair, make up and getting dressed was completed at the hotel. Our team came in as soon as we were allowed to start bringing in items to the venue and transported everything over for them including the tiny details!

First Look

Ben and Mel were pretty traditional with their wedding day events, except for this part. Their first look was one for the books! We usually feel like first looks feel rushed and don’t give it much credit for “alone time” for the couple on their big day, but these two (& Natalie) made the time for it. They got coffee, strolled the streets of Dallas, made out in hotel lobbies, and took marriage advice from strangers on the street! It was the sweetest moment built into their day! While they soaked in the moments, we put the table numbers in frames, directed the vendors for setup and set out all the tiny details.

Cermony

Ben + Mel’s ceremony time was set for 6:00 PM because it was a spring wedding. We had some logistics to overcome at the venue to get the girls to the doors that Mel wanted to use for the aisle, but after lining everyone up things went seamlessly. Even with the first look, these two shared the sweetest tears as Mel walked down the aisle! They had a friend perform the ceremony and she was phenomenal. She had the sweetest stories and of course gave the crowd some giggles as they reminisced on their dating life.

Reception

The Room on Main needs a room flip once the ceremony is over. While guests enjoy cocktail hour, we shift tables into place, drop the repurposed center pieces and sneak in to bustle the bride after pictures are complete. Then the party really starts! Mel + Ben opted to do all of the traditional reception pieces. We had speeches from siblings + parents, a first dance + parent dances, cake cutting and anniversary dance and everything in between!

Send Off

Ben and Mel decided they were ready to leave a little early so our team nailed out the logistics to move everything up with the DJ, venue and exit transportation. We did the confetti cannon for send off and it was a HUGE hit with their group. The pictures that came from this are priceless. After the confetti had been shot and the guests had left, Ben and Mel hung out for a little bit to eat their to go meal from CN Catering and share a slice of cake from Sugar Bee Sweets while our team stayed until everything was packed up, every vendor was out and all items were packed back into the car they designated to take their items.
